Finland 2018: Kuer Fell

We spent the last week in Finland and did a fairly easy hike/snowshoe (snowshoes aren't required but are helpful if you want to go off the beaten path) up Kuer Fell (which is basically a big hill with a view). The start of the hike was about a mile walk from our hotel and the up-and-back hike we did is maybe 1.5 miles each way. You can go down a different route but we chose not to as it would have been a bit too long for us because we were already cold and wet. Anyway, below are some pictures from the hike. Absolutely gorgeous with all the snow on the trees it was like you were wandering in your own winter wonderland the whole time.

This is the only pic we took on the way up. I was afraid of my iPhone dying because it hates the cold, even temperatures just below freezing. So we waited until we got to the top to pull out the nice camera.

Some views from the top.

On the way back down, Martin went off the trail and took a lot of nice pics. Most of which have me in them wandering down the path (I didn't wear snowshoes because they gave me blisters).

I managed to take a few pictures of him, taking pictures.

Back near the bottom, almost done:
