Lagos ... again.
I know I've already posted blogs about Lagos, Portugal as Martin and I have been there many times before. But, here's another one anyway. We just went there for a week (followed by a week in Spain - those blogs soon to come) with four friends and we did a few things we hadn't done before. We of course still went to all the beaches of Lagos plus Amado (our favorite big-wave beach) but we also golfed (well, Martin did), went kayaking, and went wine tasting. Pics below.
Lunch at the top of the cliffs above Camilo beach. Not a bad view.
Sandals on Meia Praia, which is the big long beach in town:
Some views from the roof of the apartment building at dusk:
A hole at one of the golf courses:
Morning yoga on the cliffs:
Wine tasting. We tasted wines while we ate lunch. They served us this weird melon soup with bacon in it in these adorable pepper bowls. Also, we sat in a glass-enclosed space while we ate lunch and just outside were roosters and peacocks and guinea fowl wandering around which was entertaining:
They were also harvesting when we visited so we got to watch the grapes come in:
Our kayak trip. I don't have any pics of us in kayaks because I didn't want to bring the camera out on the kayak with me but it was a fun trip. We kayaked all along the cliffs on the coast then hung out on the boat and sipped beers for awhile. Below is a picture of Nick jumping off the top of the boat (~3 meters high I'd guess).
Some pics of the cliffs from the boat:
Amado beach. We played in the waves quite a bit.
Some pics from around town. Okay mostly of the cliffs but that's what you see when wandering around!
